Relaxing Lavender

During these trying times we are under a great amount of stress. We are stressed due to food insecurity, stressed due to financial insecurity and stressed due to Covid-19. This is where the lovely herb LAVENDER comes into play. Lavender is a WONDERFUL herb that is good for so many things, but for this article we are going to focus on its ability to help with stress. Used in the form of a PURE essential oil, Lavender can be used in a diffuser, added to your favorite lotion, OR you can add a few drops to some witch hazel in a spray bottle and lightly spray your pillow before bed time. Doing so will help you to relax and assist you in getting a good nights sleep. Lavender can also be used for headaches brought on because of stress. Just add a few drops to your fingers and rubbing it across the forehead, along each temple and down the nape of the neck. This will help to alleviate the headache and to calm your mind. If essential oils aren’t your thing and you happen to be a tea drinker, a nice warm cup of Lavender tea will also lower your stress levels.
